Yorkland Homes recently completed a beautiful basement renovation in Innisfil, Ontario, turning a 400 sq. ft. space into a functional and stylish area. We began by opening up the stair wall to make the entrance more spacious and inviting. Custom oak railings with iron spindles were installed, adding both style and safety to the staircase, and vinyl steps were chosen for their durability and easy maintenance.
One of the key features of this renovation is the small powder room we added, which includes modern fixtures and an LED mirror for a sleek, updated look. For the flooring, we used Dricore subfloors to protect against moisture and for added warmth , and then laid down 7mm thick vinyl flooring on top for a durable and comfortable finish.
The entire space was painted using high-quality Benjamin Moore Regal paints, giving the basement a fresh, clean appearance. To add warmth and a cozy atmosphere, we installed an electric fireplace, which also serves as a beautiful focal point for the room. Above the fireplace, we built a custom TV and wall unit, complete with LED lighting around the edges to create a soft, inviting glow.
