East Gwillimbury Basement Renovation

This East Gwillimbury basement renovation was a fun project to finish. We started off by getting all the recommended permits for the project before starting. The total square footage was 900 square feet. The client wanted a 3 piece washroom, A bar area, an office, some storage and a small area where the 2 year old child could play. We started off with framing, then proceeded to HVAC, electrical and plumbing. After that was done we had the inspector come in and do the first inspection before closing the walls. We then proceeded with the drywall and plaster. After all that was done we primed and painted the basement with Premium Benjamin Moore Paint. We then proceeded to install our favorite and recommended R insulated Dricore Subfloors .

Before installing the Vinyl flooring we did the tile work in the washroom. The clients went with a 12 x 24 darn gray tile throughout the washroom from Tile Master. We then installed the custom shower glass. We also created a long, wall to wall niche. As a surprise to the client we added a LED strip in the niche to add some light and flare to the shower. The clients choose a 7mm thick luxury vinyl plank from Molson Flooring. The color was a beautiful match for the space and the quality of flooring was superb and easy to install. We also added a luxury vinyl tread and riser to the stairs. The project was finished off with the installation of the bar. Cabinets where a grey cabinet from Ikea. Custom gray quartz countertops to match the cabinets. Black hardware to finish it off. A beer fridge with a custom beer tap installed on the counter. Black backsplash and custom wood shelving with LED strops to really make the space look fantastic.
