Bathroom Renovation In Newmarket

Bathroom Renovations

This bathroom renovation in Newmarket began when the homeowner called us because his old shower still from the builder was leaking and they believed it was now time to finally update the old bathroom. After discussing the layout they wanted we began with demolishing the old bathroom and disposing of everything into our bin on site. We made the shower bigger then it was previously and also added a bench for comfort. Before we finished the framing we also added a big niche for there shampoos and body wash. The client also mentioned that they want a really small curb for convenience. After all framing and plumbing was completed we had our electrician come in and rough in the wiring for the pot lights, swap the old loud fan for a Panasonic Whisper fan and rough in the wiring for a LED mirror. We then proceeded to drywall the shower with Densshield Tile backer and the rest of the washroom with Mold resistant green board. After plaster was done we primed and did one coat of Premium Benjamin Moore Paint from Klein Paints in Newmarket.

Before starting the tiling our tile experts laid a Shluter base membrane and water proofed the walls with Shluter water proofing membrane on the walls. The client chose a 24x 24 tile throughout the entire washroom. We purchased all tiles from Tile Master in Aurora and Home Depot. We tiled the shower walls and continued the tile outside the shower behind the bathtub. We also tiled the shower ceiling and did tile baseboards. After the tiling was done we did a final coat of paint, Installed the shower fixtures, vanity, toilet and a freestanding bathtub. After the electrician installed the potlights and the 24×48 inch LED mirror our glass specialists came in and installed the glass shower doors.
