Small Newmarket Basement With Custom Railings and Staircase

This small Newmarket basement with Custom Railings and staircase was about 400 sq ft, unfinished before we got there. The owners did not want anything sophisticated as the living space was not big . We went through the design with them and made sure everything was according to there design. We opened un the wall by the stairs as it was non load bearing and it took up a lot of space. With the wall removed it really opened up the living area. After framing, electrical, insulation and plumbing we proceeded to install 1/2 inch drywall throughout.  Plastering was next on the list. After priming, as always we painted with Premium Benjamin Moore Paints.

For flooring we started with R+ Dricore subfloors. On top of that we laid a 7mm Thick luxury vinyl plank from Molson Flooring. Finished the flooring off with some 5 inch colonial baseboards and standard 6 panel doors. Installed the laundry units including a new laundry tub. To finish off the project we added custom vinyl steps with tread and risers and added an oak hand rail and post stained to the customers color of choice. We also added black iron spindles.

Another successful project finished.
